Tough time getting to your goal weight?

Let’s be real.

Trying diet after diet is tough.

And most times they’re dreadful.

You’re sure you can drop a couple pounds if you really wanted to.

You can cut out the “bad foods” for a while.

Go to the gym every single day.

You see a little shift on the scale (I lost 2 lbs - woohoo!)

You even start to feel like “it’s working.”

But then life comes in…

You can’t get to the gym every day for a full session.

You don’t have the time to meal prep and get back to the grocery store.

Some off-limit snacks and treats creep in that you feel guilty about when you were trying so hard to avoid them.

Then…

Those old habits come creeping back in until you get tired of it again and resolve you need to “start over.”

And then the next diet cycle begins.

So where do we have it all wrong?

It can feel like a dieting roller coaster trying to just get where we’d like to be and feel good about ourselves in our skin.

Well I’ve got your back.

Here are 3 steps to help you begin to release the yo-yo dieting game we keep playing:

#1 Release the good food / bad food labeling:

Recognize that when we label food as “bad” for us or try to restrict it, we are telling the body it cannot have it. That feeling of desperation almost always presents later as “making up for lost time,” or binging.

#2 Develop a deeper reason for your health goals…

… that isn’t just weight loss. You are more than just an arbitrary number that represents gravitational pull on this Earth. What are your other reasons WHY you want to be healthy and live each day without a single thought being consumed by food or your weight?

#3 Recognize that the more you stress about food and weight, the worse emotional eating will become.

Why is this? Because by increasing our psychological stress in this way, we stay trapped in a stress response state. The body does not want to live in a constant stress response, and seeks relief from it. The easiest solution to manage stress and regulate emotions is through eating. So we turn to food, again and again.

If you learn and follow these steps, getting to your goal weight will come naturally.

But look.

It’s not always easy.

You have to be persistent and consistent, and trial and error gets tiring.

Going at it alone permits you to keep “falling off the bandwagon,” feeling like you always have to shamefully crawl back on.

If you don’t want to keep throwing in the towel every time you “mess up” or aren’t perfect with your diet, you’ll need a coach in your corner.

Hop on a quick call and find out how I’ll help you:

Stop punishing yourself for what you ate by restricting even more and trying to compensate with exercise.

Escape living a lifetime of chronic dieting yo-yo weight loss and gain.

Eat freely and wholly to nourish your body to it’s natural, healthy, “happy” weight.

And remember…

This call isn’t about starting a new diet quick fix that will promise you X amount of weight loss in Y amount of time.

It’s about making a decision for a lifetime of eating. How do you want that time to play out?

If you read this far, you already know what you’d rather have those years look like.
